METRO LEFT THE MOROCCO, CARREFOUR FINALLY ARRIVED

That's official, after weeks of rumors, the announcement of the departure of METRO, the hypermarket professionals, is scheduled for Dec. 1.
Label Society Life, Moroccan, bought the full 8 Subway stores located in Morocco and will pass under the name of its French partner: CARREFOUR.

The establishment in Morocco of the mass distribution is fairly recent and cover the main cities of the Kingdom has made over the last 8 years with an acceleration for 2 years.
The first French group to have really déffriché field was Auchan who retired 2 years ago. In Fez

supply in large and medium surface becomes bloated due to the population and its purchasing power.
Currently we have 3 supermarkets, 2 and 1 Metro Marjane who becomes Carrefour supermarkets as well as 3, 2 and 1 Acima Swiss Life, which opened this month.
Under construction with a planned opening in 2011 Carrefour shopping center with among others the first Virgin Fes!

The disappearance of the Metro brand will penalize the restaurant and hospitality professionals mainly whatever level Equipment may also for all delicacies and hygiene. Another area of activity will have to reorganize, it is that small grocers to which Metro was their main supplier.

40 years after France, Morocco will experience the same upheaval that leads to the supermarket when it develops.

Certainly it is desirable that a country can reach a better quality of life and benefit from easier access to modern consumption for its people but Morocco is not France and for example what would become of Medina population if tomorrow there was no grocery store in the neighborhood as most people have no transport and had not afford to fill a shopping cart?

We have no official explanation as to why Metro to abandon his business.
Maybe this distribution model was too specialized to find his pioneering economic profitability but it is when the demand for hotels and restaurants that explodes Metro stops ... Too bad!

BABOUCHE THE CERTIFIED

Crafts Fes is one of the most famous in Morocco and that whatever the specialty.
Morocco has undertaken in recent years in seeking to improve the quality of its handicrafts.
Thus for the first both Fez 23 workshops for making slippers have received their certification. It has many criteria to be met from the quality of materials used, technical achievements but also the non use of chemicals harmful to health and environmental protection.
the same time two trademark applications were recorded at OMPIC:
the "Ziwani Mooch" and "Moroccan slippers.

babouchiers Artisans of the Medina of Fez hope that this commitment to quality to help them fight against the invasion of slipper "Chinese" sold at low prices in the souks and is a poor imitation "plastic" to use "unique" in the true Moroccan slipper.

How to recognize a quality slipper? Without being an expert

few basic criteria can help you: *

leather should be soft and dyed
* must be the sole leather and fold without a marbling
* all must be sewn and not only stuck
* top of the foot should be lightly padded
* inside of the foot should be leather

Finally the average price of a good pair of slippers is about 120/150dhs (11/14 €) for men and 80/100dhs (7 / 9 €) for women. The slippers
"luxury" are most often made to order and custom in this case the price can reach 500 or 600dhs (45/55 €)

How To Compere Annual Day Function

Preparations for Eid El Kebir

These days the bustling Medina revolves around preparations of Eid El Kebir.
Ziat as all parts of the Medina has settled vendors and oat straw and we are witnessing the arrival of sheep, there will be thousands who will come by Wednesday in the chamber of the city, at least one per house. Already
on many terraces can be seen and heard above their presence. All

actually starts in the major souks dedicated to this market occasional sharp eye of the buyer, palpation of the beast and lively discussion with the seller about the price even if ultimately the flexibility is virtually nonexistent. A beautiful living sheep is trading around 1800dhs (160 €) and a goat for 1000dhs (90 €). But the more we approach the date of the festival more prices go up!
Even supermarkets like Metro Marjane or have them stand "sheep".
After buying you have to negotiate the conveyance ....., small "Honda", scooters, transport.

For foreigners resident in Morocco Eid El Kebir means to plan ahead for daily life will be severely disrupted. It is primarily a religious festival and many Moroccans take leave during this period. Foremost among the artisans and merchants of the Medina. Then at most food stores will be closed. Due to sheep, butchers, poultry and fish sellers will lower their curtain at least for 5-6 days, even supermarkets not selling their shelves because consumers.
The restaurants will also be closed for at least 3 days .... and will then frozen and vegetarian. It is the same riads for ....

And Souafine?

In fact we prefer not to receive during that period which allows the team to enjoy this holiday with family.

For tourists who are in Fez this week they can still feel this special atmosphere and it will also be a confusing experience that will leave no one indifferent.

A book at a time ...

Meeting November 9, 2010: We keep reading and studying the book of the prophet Amos.

Bibiane and Marie-Andree

Gisele, Louise, Claire, Marie-Andree, Suzanne, and Aline Auréa
Bibiane

What prophet Amos that! A little prophet, yes! But quite fathom, because it begs the question: Has the world changed so much ...? "They sell the righteous for money for the poor ... a pair of sandals ... They trample the head of the little people ... son and father go to the same girl ... they drink the wine of those they have struck a fine ... " etc..

By putting other words, are we not found in the open now?

What Is The Employment Structure In Brazil

Salima muzungu

Click on the partition to see the video

Salima muzungu is an old song of Mayotte, also known in Anjouan.
It is performed on video by Anibal.

Salima muzungu
has marikabu na wa

Mongor feda

the strange dhahabu

(Salima's foreign

boat has a mast is silver
sailing is gold)

Instead of muzungu Salima (Salima the stranger), some say muzuri Salima (Salima beautiful). On the video, Anibal Moreover, once said muzuri and once muzungu .

Similarly, instead of the strange dhahabu (the sail is made of gold), another version says the dhahabu kanga (a basket [full] of gold).

I never heard that one verse. Music and Society in Comoros , Damir Ben Ali quotes this song he said was a shakasha . Following that gives this couplet on a different metric, seems quite disjointed, as if there had been an interpolation.

Side Gabus, here is the transcript of the loop that serves as an introduction, Accompanying the first two verses and interlude between rounds of the couplet:

Now accompanying the second part ( Mongor wa ... ):

The Gabus Nawal

Nawal festival Milatsika (Chicon)

Click on the photo to see video

Nawal is a very special case of the Comorian music. Deeply rooted in Comorian musical and spiritual, it also incorporated a modern artistic approach, as understood in the West. It is therefore within her two antipodal worlds whose skillful and contrasting cohabitation produces very fine soundscapes.

His music reminds me that the Indian Ocean, is none other than the ocean of Sinbad. This is the fabulous sea spoken of in the Arabian Nights , that filing the sole survivor of a shipwreck on a predestined shore fleet where mysterious scent of ylang-ylang and clove. The port of Basra is never far away in his songs and his voice, along the African coast and the shores of Madagascar feeding rhythms.

is, to my knowledge, the first woman, and perhaps even the only one, Gabus play on stage. It should be noted because in thinking Comoros, the instruments are traditionally distributed between men and women. The Gabus is an instrument of man, but we must recognize that Nawal's very good sound. His

Gabus bears the stamp of his singular career. Its form, already is very special with its long neck and elongated head. She found out and bought Moheli in 1995. Since then she has never regained the kind. In true

mohélien Gabus, it is designed to carry five strings divided into three choirs, but Nawal mount only four strings (three choruses). After various tests, it gives way, the low to high: G1 La2-D2 D2

Detailed arrangement of ropes and anchors

pegs, very stylish and practical , from a Turkish instrument. Again, she had tried several types of anchors before stopping his choice.
