"Greetings from Cora Sledge" by Leslie Larson

"At 82, Cora is obese, perverted too anxiolytics and smokes excessively. But the day when her children placed in a retirement home is ECT. Determined not to linger in this cul de sac, Cora makes every effort to regain control of his life. And for that, he must confront a past too long kept secret ... More than a character, Cora is an encounter between a woman and often irreverent intractable, that of a fair and honest vote on which one can only listen. It tells us that disobedience is often the first way to freedom, and above all, it is never too late ... A novel bursting with energy and emotion as close to things in life. "

Partnership for the month of February 2011 at BOB with versions 10 18!

Thanks to them!

MY OPINION:

A very nice book that I read with pleasure and delight. I am committed to this strong woman, as defined literally and figuratively.

It does not grow old, especially when of a sudden one of your kids put you in a nursing home without asking your opinion. It is true that sometimes facilitated by children no longer want to ask questions and leave the professionals to care for their parents.

"They all feel guilty because they put me here, so they do what they can so that I do not lose the ball. For Christmas I got a puzzle (as a waste of time There is no better) and a kit to embroidery (I always hated that.) Dean my son even offered coloring books with three breeds of dogs: a poodle, a collie and a German shepherd. They continued to believe me, fallen into second childhood, or what? "

But ultimately, this will allow Cora rebounding. In this nursing home, she realizes she is not so dependent than that and she can still live with beautiful things independently. We'll have to do it by hand and will take a job there, at the body of course but also the spirit.

Then slowly, she will be reborn by engaging in a diary. These books intimate that it intends to convey to his death his family, to show the life she had, the woman she became and is still, despite the hardships.

This book belongs to Cora Sledge
"Not to read after my death"

More evidence that these books will serve as his therapy and awareness!
Cora has no language in his pocket and it does not let them count and the turning of a corridor, love will arise. Heart of these stories that are born again and dream.
love it makes you beautiful!

Nevertheless
the idea is too harsh, the image of the nursing home is truly frightening but actually not that far from reality ...
sort of hospice where privacy is violated when one forgets the little things that make a life: a house, a pet, curtains, familiar objects ... Cora dream of his house on his porch, his little dog.

"When I pushed my door (door of the room at the Palisades Cora) smell when I was starting to get used greeted me - carpet fairly new, used disinfectant in the bathroom and light hot exhaust gases, which came from the car park outside my window. And below, we perceived that the scent of old piles in one place, people are fed, washed, treated as if they were one body, no past, no memories. "

But
Cora will fight to raise the head, lose weight and write, write, history as to finally put into words the pain, its flaws. telling us, our readers, its history.

"You already noticed the ads in magazines? Before, after? Where you are shown a picture of a big dondon in shorts with legs much fat, and a protruding belly tits hanging to the knees? Judging by his hair, it seems that a hurricane went through there, and it also has a wealth comely if her cat had just run over. Besides, we see a small thing in tight pants, with an ass bigger than a ball of ice, rising tits under his chin and a flatter stomach an ironing board. That one could not pinch an inch of her skin. Hair and makeup are perfect, and she smiled from ear to ear the other. Who would not do, in fact, with this figure? Unable to believe that the two pictures represent the same person.
Well now, I do. "

Writing colorful descriptions humorous. But also passages very beautiful and very moving on episodes from the life of Cora's very hard to have forged his personality ...

A beautiful gallery of secondary characters: Vitus, Marcos, Glenda, Abel, Ivy, Big ... And always behind Cora ultimately becomes a friend that we understand and with whom it hopes to live a lot of good things with which we hope.

By engaging, she accepts and opens his heart to the future and gives us a great lesson in life as anything, as long as there is life there is hope!

In summary, a very nice reading a beautiful novel that does not mince words and who spares us nothing of the life of Cora, the ups and downs of life. But finally a resolutely upbeat story!

Thanks Cora, thank you for telling and give your beautiful and sad story.
Happy reading and good kisses Cora!

Let me put video presentation of this book by Gérard Collard Black Claw! He speaks so well!

Beautiful imperfection ASA

"Despite looking a bit serious and enigmatic's Jean-Baptiste Mondino fixed on the cover of Beautiful Imperfection , Asa has decided not to s to worry about his fate and have a good time. She says the right from the opening track, "Why Can not We", and proves throughout this beautiful imperfection.

Suave, varied and often radiating this second album of the Nigerian singer plays harmoniously with influences of soul, pop, folk, blues, reggae and even twist. radios will be happy and good people should want to organize surprise parties this winter. But these references are more winks as exercises in style: fat guitars in "Thriller" at the heart of "Bimp" orchestration of strings and kick drum reminiscent of "Wonderwall" from Oasis on "Ok Ok" finger snaps excerpts from "West Side Story" for "The Way I Feel", and brass choirs and so Tamla Motown here and there.

Fortunately, the arrangements of Benjamin Constant, already at work on the first album, are smart enough not to let these loans in the first line and offer more personal cons-fields. He had something to enjoy because the melodies are made by Asa evidence of an elegant and effective natural. But the glue that holds this playful architecture primarily his voice. It combines the sweetness of milk and chili pepper and vote on each word with a nonchalant agility. She adds to these songs look like a slight double meaning very sensual, a great tenderness, of infinite humanity.

Finally, the cover photo does not lie: gravity as the frivolity of Asa are imperfect and that's what makes the beauty. "

glasses to see better! Dance

A good time centering us into our approach: muscle relaxation, focused attention on our core, deep breath ... expiration ... slow return to the group ... and here we go!

start with the story of three frogs myopic. Eye exams! Result: we need glasses! The first frog, always an optimist, chose rose-colored glasses ... and then everything takes on the color pink. Even the lilies and water lilies are white roses. The world is beautiful! Life is beautiful! The second, Madam pessimistic chooses glasses very dark, even black. Protection against the sun, yes, and everything becomes gray, dull, even the whites were black. The third is a choice of clear glass to see reality as it is to see the real stuff!

Marie-Pauline, Suzanne Aline Bibiane
This story joins us a little in the way we live injuries of daily life. "There's nothing there" and it continues the road. The other will say "This is serious! It puts me aside. They insult me! "And the injury is taking unprecedented measures. It seems that if we can put things in perspective, sometimes put in context and most importantly, take the time to talk to, injury would be less and less deep, pardons easier to live.

"You have to forgive much to ourselves to get used to forgive a lot to others ". (Anatole France )

We know very well that forgiveness is not easy, but possible, that is liberating and healing, he is vital and manufacturer. We know our weakness, our difficulties. That is why we cry for help:

Father, nothing is as difficult as to provide a true forgiveness,
especially those who we are close
and we really suffer. Since it is difficult this pardon that!

So many excuses swirling in our heads;
''Is this good for me to start?
''Is it really worth? No, I can not now
maybe tomorrow ...''

It costs us to forgive. Is it even possible?
Father, we know
reconciliation and forgiveness can only come from You.
So, grant us the grace of forgiveness, the strength to reconcile
with those who are under our roof, with those below:
the spouse is gone, the child who broke the tie.
Let us love our enemies.

Do not let the sun sets over a grudge or anger in our hearts.
Give us the grace of the first step and we like you.
Amen. (Prayer by Cardinal Danneels)

Anarkali Churidar How To Cut Indian Churidar ?

Spring has arrived in Fes!

This month of February has been unusually mild in Fez. Sun settles with insurance, temperatures climb a little more each day. A
Souafine breakfasts can finally take on the terrace most mornings after 9am because still a bit chilly.

The tourist is in decline compared to last year. The reasons are multiple: economic collapse in Spain broke the trend in arrivals from that country, tensions and crises in the Arab world have discouraged American and more generally Anglo-Saxon. The Italians, with the opening of low cost flights started coming in numbers are more cautious in the beginning of this year.
The French are more present and therefore continue to come, often for the first time in Morocco. But there was no massive transfer of operators to Tunisia or Egypt to Morocco whose stays are significantly more expensive than these countries formatted for mass tourism.

French is it more adventurous than others?

No but he has a better knowledge of cultural and social differences between the Maghreb countries, he knows that Morocco is not like Algeria or Tunisia and Libya.
addition the French have a long history of events, almost daily in Paris with its share of thugs, and it is not that which may frighten them.
Indeed if we analyze what just happened with our neighbors, not a single foreign has been targeted during the events or tourist or expatriate was not a victim. While in Libya
it is better to be cautious because the madness of its leader will spare no one.

How reacted the hotel industry in Fez point about this situation?
Many institutions, hotels or riads, make special offers at the moment, especially for stays of several nights. No quality establishment is selling off its rates for service quality would suffer greatly and would hurt the image of the destination. Besides the high season arrives for the month of March and especially from of April the level of existing reservations reassures the attractiveness of the city of Fez.

Dress Like A Prep With Dress Shirt Untucked

one small step at a time!

Last night we had the pleasure to continue our learning. Yes, our legs are stiff, our feet are heavy, our knees hurt! But it's coming!

We created beautiful expressions on instrumental music of Robert Lebel, "He will return." Singing and gestures "Lord you relied on us" we always offer a moment of intense contemplation.

We become more adept at dancing "Tzadik Katamari," a Jewish dance very simple, inspired by Psalm 92.

After proclaiming the Word of God in Matthew 7: 24-27, we dance "Unless the Lord builds the house", music by Robert Lebel. Do you know

the 5 Rhythms of Gabrielle Roth? ... No? ... Yet, they form a wave ... the tide of life flow, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness or silence. You can imagine that our lives are marked by these different movements. We undertook these movements of the waves, flowing movements, circular, feminine, rooted in the earth ... freely to the music "Maliku" from CD Spirit of the Incas.

Finally we met, the song "The Rose of Tralee" CD Romantic Guitar of Francis Goya has allowed us a moment of silence, meditation, breathing, relaxation, body movement, each according to his inspirations. What do you

to join our group?

No pictures for this meeting! The camera was missing!

Theatre in the window: A ball and chain of Georges Feydeau

Presentation part:

How to get rid of a mistress when planning to marry the same day with a rich heiress? Here's what works Bois d'Enghien, a lover of Lucette Gauthier-hall singer, artist claimed by Baroness Duverger for signing the contract of marriage with his daughter ... Bois d'Enghien himself. The lover household Lucette and thwarts the cascade of events and misunderstandings that could unveil his plan.

Of Georges Feydeau
Directed by Jérôme Deschamps

Feydeau, c is stronger than you. To stage 'A strings attached' - or any other part of the master of vaudeville - do not play games. Madness in the fourth degree is already riveted to the text, do not bother to add more. Jerome Deschamps knows and knows his Feydeau on the fingertips. Less director a conductor, he sets to music the mechanics irresistible'Un strings attached, with modesty and intelligence. If this pulse as well, is because it has interpreters of choice. With a flawless delivery, the troupe of the Comedie-French havoc. And in this collective power demented comic, Christian Hecq Bouzin is phenomenal. Worthy of the great American burlesque, he embodies this clown Kafkaesque theater of Deschamps-Makeïeff. Crushed by the system, abused and humiliated by all other players in the room, he agrees with Eugene Ionesco. The father of the Theatre of the Absurd wrote about 'The Flea in the ear', another masterpiece of Feydeau: "Because if Feydeau please, not for the ideas he has (since he does not), nor the stories of his characters (which are stupid), this is madness, this mechanism is apparently solved, but is disrupted by its progression and even its acceleration. "And if the public still works in 2010, because they are sex and money pose Feydeau's characters. So we never laughed so much in the room since Richelieu's French ... 'A strings attached' mounted by Jacques Charon in 1961. And this is probably the finest tribute we could go to the comedy troupe of those years.

My opinion:

No no I did not go to the theater but I saw the transmission of this piece last night on France 2 and that I could laugh!

22-02-2011 - 3:41 p.m.
"On 22 February 2011, France 2 will capture A strings attached directly to the French Comedy. The comedy by Georges Feydeau which sold out since the first in December 2010, will laugh at any speed fans vaudeville. "
I split a pear and I was blown away by the energy of the actors. What talents to take any part that is not easy! You will find

distribution on the website of the French Comedy and you can enjoy the virtual tour link to this institution.

must also say that I was particularly won over by the actor who played Bouzin! A real clown acrobat!
Bravo Christian Hecq (I notice he wears a brace on the photo site of the French Comedy ... it must be due to his acrobatic performance in the third act of stairs ...).

I'm not a big fan of theater, in fact, it would be fairer to say that I I do not really have the opportunity we do not have much room here ... So this
television transmission was a damn good idea! THANK YOU I spent a wonderful evening! And you, have you seen on TV or the theater, perhaps?

I discover more and Feydeau's work before there's plenty to do! And I knew this man a few famous quotes!

For text and various works I suggest you also have the reflex Wikisource

Silence, I hear three shots of the theater, the curtain rises,
I leave you, good show !

SITUATION IN MOROCCO FES

After the day of protest on 20 February, incidents involving groups of thugs have occurred in several cities in Morocco .....
That sounds which often happens in France on the fringes of protests .....

For the rest, and two days later, the situation is calm although here and there small groups of "thugs" to use this time to try to vandalize or rob stores.

Everything is back to normal and daily life has not been altered.

Events drama unfolding right now in Libya is a subject of discussion in the Moroccan population, all were unanimous in wishing for things to change there and everyone here says that life in Morocco is not comparable.

At the source of daily life

You know the fable Babor? ... The young beaver who start school? ... The first day of class, no writing, no reading, no math! The only lesson to master Doctor: "My young, do not go a day of your life without making at least one service to someone worse off than you find on your way." Babor has understood the message and the same day, save the dragonfly miss when they return home. ( Fables Jules Beaulac).

So we have shared some of the services rendered during our days, the services that we have done well, which have been sources of joy, comfort or courage to continue our road.

Marie-Josée, Dominique, Luc

And it's time for film. Wondering what movie we planned? ... You probably know: Mr Ibrahim! That services to promote the growth of the young teen, Momo! On the street where he lives, there are ladies (oh my!) Have very kind to him, and especially the Arab neighborhood grocer, from a Sufi Far East. This Mr. Ibrahim seems to know the secrets of happiness and smile Momo quickly made his profit. After the suicide of his father, the young Momo is adopted by Mr Ibrahim. Together they set off to the homeland of the old man.

To complete our consideration of services rendered as a source of life, we draw from the Gospel of Matthew: Jesus heals the mother-Pierre (What service!). And immediately the stepmother began to serve! (Mt 8, 14-15)
Precisely to accommodate that Denise is getting ready to go: a young mother and a baby two weeks ahead!

Good meeting, Denise!

February 20 .... QUIET EVENING

Many Western media were echoed by an unlikely event popular in Morocco following a call on Facebook ..... Until newscast from France 2 Feb. 12 raised the specter of a "revolution" Moroccan.
is badly about this country that process information this way.
direct result .... a collapse in tourist arrivals in the Kingdom and anxious discussions on various forums on the net: "Can we go to Morocco without risk ?"!!!

What happens there in February 20?

From yesterday the movement behind the call for protests canceled his participation.

There were in the main cities popular demonstrations calling for greater justice, less corruption and a more equitable economic development.
These events, very few followed as in Fez, took place in the greatest calm.
Security was provided by police in a very discreet and no brutality.

The day that some predicted as high risk has simply demonstrated that unlike neighboring Morocco is a country where it is possible to manifest as in France, to voice his complaints in respect of institutions. View from Fez

this day has been nothing special, each going about his business as usual. New town's main avenue was closed to car traffic, only visible sign of the event, the crowd elsewhere on Sunday morning while shopping at Central Market did not seem concerned ...... How

this day of 20 February will she presented by Western media to evening news? !

How To Cake Decorate Using Zip Lock Bag

Bearing fruit ... Authors

A world upside down? ... Without doubt, but also a world in turmoil, bubbling full: this is what we experienced during the month!

Still, despite the upheavals in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and elsewhere, we pause to reflect on the theme: Women. A first aspect of this theme focuses on older women, reflection presented in two parts: the strength of this stage of life and loneliness.

Having inspired by three authors, Sr. Aurea speaks of women marked by wisdom, fertility and serenity, so to say in years! Is this possible when we are "old"? Michel Fortin in his book "The fruit season," says that "aging is one of the most difficult stages of our lives." But this is a time to bear fruit, fruit marked by human growth, achievements and happiness. As Marguerite Lescot, "age is to live" and in 89 years, she divides her time between writing and lectures. Yes, she lives intensely! Finally, Catherine Bergeron in his book "You must stay in the parade" for women who have "passion trumps age.

Sr. Aurea we share some thoughts about some of these women:

Antonine Maillet: "We live in a more dense As we move forward. "

Dominique Michel:" We must stay in the parade. "

Clemence Durocher: "The strength of a life is the power to create."

To speak of loneliness, Sr. Aline has chosen to provide answers, suggestions as if she was telling us: "Yes, loneliness is good, but enough is enough . There are ways to break the solitude. " Then she introduces us to places and resources in the Ottawa area, including tele-hi, Meals on Wheels, ParaTranspo, various services offered by Bruyère Continuing Care Services to help seniors, home care, etc.. Then she invites us to experience a moment of prayer.

From the prayer of the single woman: "(...) Give me the courage to accept my loneliness. I'm not born to live alone . I have too much love to give my heart and choking woman to so little attention. (...) Put on my way loved that I could help, encourage and help. Make my day, moments charity and teach me the sharing and affection ".

Suzanne

Also in continuity with the chosen topic, women, Suzanne offers us a moment of reflection on Islam in order to let us know more Muslim women at our next meeting to be held on March 17. It is good to remember the strength of Islam with more than one billion followers and the two major trends Muslim : Shiites and Sunnis.

whole group is very interested in various aspects of reality, or of older women or women living loneliness or social realities in order to reflect on the situation of the Muslim woman.

Howgettyimageswatermark

interesting, moving ... amazing!

Tonight, we regret the absence of three participants: Andree is a journey, Diane is working in Montreal and Josette. We are pleased to communicate the richness of our shares.

Marie-Josée
Marie-Josée presents an Iraqi author, Joseph Faradelle, which recounts his journey of conversion to Christianity in the book "The price to pay" ... a book that is scary! His path goes through a conversion experience during his military service where he had to share his room in the barracks with a Christian, a modest farmer named Massoud. How the message Christian himself was it conveyed? Massoud is a man of few words. Joseph wants to know ... questions ... comes to Christian churches who are suspicious of him, afraid to embrace it, and fear of being accused of being punished in Islamic countries because we do not trifle with proselytizing. Itself is in danger because of his conversion.

His family eventually discovered his secret in which he led wife and son. She rejects him and put in prison, where he was tortured and he comes out, emaciated, after sixteen months of torment. The lesson should be enough to bring him back to reason.

In fact, the lesson had been learned in an entirely different way. He realized he could live, free to practice his Christian faith, and that leaving Iraq by taking the path of exile. The Church eventually help them. It was she who arranged their escape, which will help to survive in Jordan where death lurks just as Muslims in Iraq is in France that convertis.Puis Moammed becomes Faradelle Joseph.

Marie-Josée
Marie-Josée introduces us to the book "The two countries" Jean de Viguerie. The fourth cover of this book published in 2003 shows us the contents thus: "There are indeed two homelands. One is the land of our fathers, country of birth and education. This has always existed. The other is recent. It dates from the Enlightenment and the Revolution. It represents a revolutionary ideology. The lyrics of the Marseillaise express his ideal. The first is France. The second is not France, but France is his support and his instrument. To each his patriotism: the first is that of gratitude and piety of the second one is marked by passion and excess. The traditional patriotism imposes a duty of gratitude. Revolutionary patriotism requires the sacrifice of countless lives. We see how the two homelands and patriotism are the two strangers to each other.

Yet since 1789, the French had ceased to associate, even to confuse them. Point of view of France in the revolutionary country and devote himself to the sweet homeland's violent ideological passion of patriotism. Only the confusion they have not committed themselves, but by the end of a long and skilful handling. If the country has been substituted for revolutionary France, this country was done without the knowledge of French. And Marie-José conclude by saying: "France is dead" because nothing that made her "France" has been sent!

You know the author Philip Roth? It is the choice of Marie-Andree who shows us one of his works, "Man," published by Gallimard in 2007. It seems that the original idea of the novel is to listen to the sick body , telling the life of a man not through his successes or his love, but through the different diseases which have affected throughout her life and that ultimately lead to death. In fact, early in the novel is the cemetery we met him in dialogue with the gravedigger.

Throughout, he takes stock of his life ... a failed life, a life of gloom, however, very realistic until the end. Nothing really important in life, centered on himself and the world of women. We can continue its reflection on the precariousness of human life. Even asking the question: Are there people predestined to fail their lives?

Louise

Louise currently reads "The meaning of things," edited in 2009 by Robert Lafond, a book which brings together various writings by authors such as Simone Veil, Daniel Cohen, Roland Castro or even Rene Girard, and synthesized at the end by Jacques Attali. The Status of Women to free, education, religion or science, this amount of reflections and interviews is an inexhaustible source of arguments and testimony.

Denis

Denis tells us about his decision this year, his reading it will know more on Pope Benedict XVI. And already he derives from his briefcase three volumes: "Jesus of Nazareth" and "Light of the world," the latter written in German, from conversations between the pope and the journalist, Peter Seewald, at Castel Gandolfo and the story of the Pope's visit to the United Kingdom during the canonization of Cardinal Newman. Happy reading, Denis, You tell us.

And as a final presentation, Bibiane us know the book "Why" by Nicolas Mazellier published by Editions Anne Sigier. Mazellier had just arrived at the Hotel Montana in Port-au-Prince, January 12, 2010, when everything starts to shake. And since then, one question haunts him: "Why me, and not others?" His testimony is that of his spiritual experience: hope, faith and suffering.

If you want to listen to his testimony, go to the following address: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xftgq8_nicolas-mazellier-9-nov-2010_webcam

Louise Denis, Bibiane
In Chapter VIII - And now? Nicolas says: "I witnessed the devastating fury of nature. I witnessed the weight of death on the living. I witnessed these lives forever marked. But I also witnessed a Presence .»...« Why not accept the paper, even marked by violence, powerlessness, suffering and loneliness, can bear fruit? It bears fruit. Now that my "why" of today is as important as this meeting yesterday amid the ruins of Montana. "
