Today is new year of the Hegira in the Maghreb .....
On this first day of the year 1432 we see no particular excitement in either Medina or in the new city.

Many Moroccans celebrate the new year which combines western passage to the New Year with gift-giving especially to children, a purely pagan Christmas ...
